Cambell Walsh paddling Kapsl XXS won 2011 Australian Open final in class K1.
Campbell Walsh from Great Britain won first 2011 ICF canoe slalom ranking race in Australia. Athens Olympic silver medallist Walsh qualified in ninth place after the semi finals, but a clean run managed to secure him Britain’s only first placing of the weekend. He said he was happy with his result, and it was a good start to the 2011 season. "I had in mind that 101 *seconds+ would be a good time for me, and I got it so I’m happy with my result. As always, there’s improvements to be made," he said. "To be honest, I’ve done very little preparation so I’m happy with it. I can only get better." Other classes were also under Vajda Team athletes dominance. Skantar's confirmed top forma and dominated in C2 same like year 2010. Formal World Champion Corina Kuhne (Austria) was best in ladies race. Ander Elosegi from Spain and GARGAUD-CHANUT Denis took silver respectively bronze C1.
